Introduction
MOL Enterprise (Philippines), Inc. is a result of an integration of two wholly owned subsidiaries in the Philippines by its parent company Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. In Japan. The merger of the companies forms a core company in the Philippines that will pursue business development in the region. This will strengthen business operations in the Philippines, where MOL Group expects strong economic growth, as part of the regional strategy in the “BLUE ACTION 2035” management plan. Two wholly owned companies in the Philippines, EcoMOL Inc. and MOL Bulk Shipping Philippines has merged under the re-structuring. In April 2024, the business of MOL Bulk Shipping Philippines was transferred to the new company in June 2024. The Business Development Division was formed in the new company to pursue new business development in the Philippines. It will also develop investment opportunities in the non-shipping business such as logistics, real property, and offshore wind power in addition to strengthening the shipping business. EcoMOL Inc. has been engaged in reducing greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) by promoting operational efficiency of ships operated by the MOL group. MOL Bulk Shipping Philippines has overseen operating dry bulk carriers. MOL Enterprises (Philippines) Inc. will conduct the operations of the two current companies and manages & expands the group’s business in the Philippines.
