Huckleberry Southern Kitchen & Bar opened in the mid-2010s as Davao's proper Southern-American outpost — gumbo and fried chicken done with the right spice levels, craft cocktails poured without apology, and a soundtrack that slides from Creedence to New Orleans brass as the night gets longer. The dining room has aged into a warm, weathered glow: exposed brick, wood-slat ceilings strung with Edison bulbs, leather banquettes along the wall, sunroom glass-enclosed patio on the side where afternoon light pools on reclaimed wood tables.
