ANGELINA APOSTOL PUNZALAN MEDICAL CLINIC, INC. (APMC) is an industrial clinic founded by spouses-doctors RODOLFO B. PUNZALAN and MAGNOLIA ANGELINA APOSTOL-PUNZALAN in 1978. The two had just then arrived from their ten (10) year stint as doctors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan. It is the fulfillment of their dream to run a clinic that will cater better but affordable service to their fellow Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs). They wanted to make use of the medical knowledge they had learned in school to attend to the health needs of the workers and to apply the empirical information they have earned from working abroad to satisfy and protect both the interests of Overseas Filipino Workers and that of foreign employers- id es providing them a healthy working environment. Venue of Operations: APMC started with humble beginnings as an industrial polyclinic on the ground floor of Tennis Town Building South Superhighway. In 1980, it moved to a more spacious venue on the fourth floor of Trans Phil House in Pasong Tamo so that it can broaden its operations to include pre-employment service to local and overseas workers. Again in 1991 and 1995, APMCI changed business addresses in Makati as there had been greater demand for its service. Legal Existence: Since 1978, APMC developed from a mere polyclinic to an industrial clinic that serves land based and seafarers. In 1983, it was accredited as an industrial clinic by the Department of Health, Department of Labor and Employment and the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA). It has been an active member of the Association of Medical Clinics for OFWs (AMCOW) since 1986. Also, it has been included in the list of Accredited Medical Clinics examining overseas workers bound for Saudi Arabia and other gulf countries. In 1995, APMCI became a corporate entity. At present, it has continued to be accredited by government regulating agencies (DOH, DOLE, POEA and MARINA), and is recognized by the Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), United Arab Emirates (UAE), and the other cooperative members of the Executive Board of the Health Ministers Council for Gulf Cooperation Council States. APMC is proudly ISO certified (Global Group ISO 9001:2015). As an industrial clinic owned and run by medical doctors, APMC ventures into other health services (General Medicine, Internal Medicine – Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Dental etc.). It conducts medical tests of non-immigrants bound for different countries around the globe and caters pre-employment medical examinations to Filipino Overseas Workers bound for Japan, Hong Kong, Spain, Singapore and other countries in the world.
